Recently as reported in the ABC news, 258 trucks pulling 406 trailers, carrying almost 14,000 bales of hay travelled to a small town, Ilfracombe, in Western Queensland. The Burrumbuttock Hay Runners, are volunteer truck drivers who transport hay to those battling drought stricken regions. This last run smashed their own record of hay delivered, which was valued around $6 million.
It is important that any trip you take on your truck, with or without a trailer, to make sure you are appropriately covered. The specialised transport team at East West Insurance Brokers are more than happy to help arrange coverage options to suit your trucking needs.
