In a recent article from insurancenews.com.au, the UK Foreign Office now considers Australia’s terror threat high, ranking Australia on-par with war ravaged nations like Iran and Afghanistan. This increase in Australia’s level of terror threat can be credited to the Lindt café attack in Sydney last year, another four terror plot arrests, and the growing call from extremist groups to attack on western soil. Aon Risk Solutions Placement Manager Crisis Management, Karin Rodriguez Diaz, suggests “Organisations need to ensure they are adequately covered against the risk of terrorism, but also need to understand the impact a terror attack can have on their business and their brand and reputation.”
