When an incident occurs and it falls under your liability insurance, there are a few important things to keep in mind to protect you and your business, including:

  • Refrain from admitting or accepting liability
  • Try and get all communications in writing
  • You will need to provide the following documents to your Account Manager: completed claim form; correspondence from the claimant (letter of demand holding them responsible for the incident); any evidence you have to support the matter.
