It is essential that you keep your East West Insurance Broker up to date with your business activities (and information you think is important) as best you can, to assist them in ensuring your business is adequately covered.
When an incident occurs and it falls under your liability insurance, there are a few important things to keep in mind to protect you and your business, including:
- Refrain from admitting or accepting liability
- Try and get all communications in writing
- You will need to provide the following documents to your Account Manager: completed claim form; correspondence from the claimant (letter of demand holding them responsible for the incident); any evidence you have to support the matter.
