According to news.com.au (http://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/overseas-visitors-to-australia-spending-an-average-4500/story-e6frfq80-1227408623939) the average spend of overseas visitors to Australia last year averaged $4500 a trip, a result from the latest International Visitor Survey that was released by the Australian Tourism Exchange. This puts Australia at the top of the list for average amount spent per visitor, even though Australia ranks 43rd in the world for most popular international destination. The top visiting countries includes; Brazil, the US, Chinese, and the French.
